On March 19, Noesis participated in the Cross-Border Networking Event: AI in Supply Chain & Logistics, organized by the German-Dutch Chamber of Commerce (DNHK) in Utrecht. The event brought together key industry players from the Netherlands and Germany to discuss the growing role of AI in optimizing logistics and supply chain operations.
By facilitating discussions between Dutch and German companies, DNHK successfully created a space for best practice sharing and cross-border learning, reinforcing the idea that AI adoption is most effective when knowledge, strategies and technological advancements are combined across markets.
A key highlight was the panel discussion featuring:
- Jaap Broekers – Customer Success & Solutioning Manager at Noesis
- Henry Steenbergen – Director of Mobility and Transport at Rabobank
- Jaaco van Meijeren – Consultant of Supply Chain Innovation at TNO
- Nils Kalbe – Research Associate at Fraunhofer
The panel explored the challenges and opportunities of AI adoption, emphasizing the importance of building trust in AI to drive real transformation. While AI has the potential to streamline operations and enhance decision-making, obstacles like fragmented data, legacy systems, and regulatory concerns still hinder its widespread implementation.
Noesis also showcased a real-world AI success story, illustrating how AI is already revolutionizing logistics operations. One of our largest logistics clients faced a significant challenge: managing high volumes of sales inquiries manually. Their process required sales representatives to extract details from incoming emails and engage in lengthy follow-ups to gather all necessary information for a quote.
To solve this, Noesis implemented an AI-driven email automation solution capable of:
- Automatically processing incoming emails
- Extracting key details with precision
- Generating follow-up messages for a seamless quoting process
- Integrating data into the company’s Transportation Management System (TMS) for improved decision-making
The results were immediate: response times were drastically reduced, data accuracy improved, and sales teams were freed from repetitive tasks - allowing them to focus on high-value activities.
This event reinforced the power of cross-border collaboration in shaping the future of AI in logistics. As AI continues to redefine the supply chain, Noesis remains committed to working alongside industry leaders to unlock new possibilities and drive AI-powered transformation.
